Sure, there's the plane thing. Airports are where planes are and planes are unpleasant. But that's not really the main problem. The biggest issue Dean takes with airports, especially with big international ones, is that they're a weird kind of borderland. He's been around enough haunted places to know the feeling—that threat of another world being right there, only inches away, bleeding into your own without giving you a choice in the matter.
( He knows it's irrational. )

He gets that they're supposed to be beautiful, impressive, majestic, something. That people walk up them to have spiritual awakenings and come back down feeling enlightened, or inspired, or purified. Dean doesn't know if that's actually true, but if it is, it's about time some hunters went up all those mountains to see what sort of nasties are hiding up there to brainwash people into spiritual awakenings. A spiritual awakening never did anyone any good. His own pretty much sucked.
